A Different Kind of Gathering This Year

A Different Kind of Gathering This Year

We want to share something with you about where Church Life is heading this fall, and we hope you will be as excited about it as we are. After much prayer and conversation as a team, we are postponing our Church Life Conference to 2027. In its place this year, we are leading a missions trip to Lima, Peru, November 11 through 16, partnering with Catedral de Fe and their annual outreach, Operation Hope (Operación Esperanza). Here is why this feels right for this season. For months we have been talking about three things in the Church Life community: a heart for the nations, the call of the marketplace, and the strengthening of the local church. This trip is where all three meet. We will be: Reaching the nations through ministry in Lima, including children's and adult crusades, feeding the homeless, distributing groceries, and providing medical care with medication. Honoring the marketplace at a Thursday night marketplace banquet that gathers Lima's business and ministry leaders together in one room. Strengthening the local church by coming alongside Catedral de Fe and the network of churches connected to Operation Hope. Pastors traveling with us may also have the opportunity to preach at local churches that Sunday. We see this as the beginning of a rhythm we believe God is leading us into: a year for going, followed by a year for gathering. Mission trips and conferences, working in tandem. This year is a year for going. Trip details at a glance: Dates: November 11 to 16, 2026 Host: Catedral de Fe, Lima, Peru Outbound: AA917, Miami to Lima, Wednesday November 11, departs 5:35 PM Return: AA1558, Lima to Miami, Monday November 16, departs around 8:00 AM Hotel: El Pardo Lima, a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Miraflores. Reservations at +51 1-617-1000 or 800-222-TREE. Mention that you are with Church Life when booking. What participants take care of: airfare, hotel, and meals. What participants give toward, in cash and on-site with a receipt from Catedral de Fe: transportation in Lima and Operation Hope itself. Suggested amount coming soon. If you sense the Lord stirring you toward this, we invite you to start praying about whether you are meant to go. Watch this space, your inbox, and our community page for next steps, including the suggested giving amount and a way to let us know you are in. We are believing God for a movement of hope through the streets of Lima this November, and we would love for you to be part of it.

Peru: A Reunion, a River of Healing, and a New Lane for the Future

Peru: A Reunion, a River of Healing, and a New Lane for the Future

During our recent trip to Peru, the Lord didn’t just give us a schedule. He gave us a story, one that strengthened relationships, confirmed assignment, and opened a wide, practical path forward for Church Life Global and the Church Life Marketplace Network . From the beginning, this journey carried an unusual weight, the kind that comes when God is both encouraging and commissioning at the same time. It was a transformative trip, not because everything went “perfect,” but because we watched God move with purpose among hungry people and ready leaders. The 60th Reunion of Movimiento Evangelístico Misionero One of the central moments of the trip was the 60th reunion celebration of the Movimiento Evangelístico Misionero , a gathering that brought together pastors and leaders from across Peru. It wasn’t just an anniversary event. It felt like a generational handoff. There was deep honor for what God has done over sixty years, and there was a clear hunger for what He wants to do next. During this celebration, Curt, my father (Dr. Lee), and I had the privilege of sharing the Word of God with many pastors. We witnessed numerous conversions, and we also saw something else that cannot be manufactured: spiritual hunger rising to the surface like a spring breaking through stone. A moment that marked us: hungry for prayer, hungry for healing One moment in particular has stayed with me. After ministry time began, people came forward for prayer . Not out of tradition or polite courtesy, but because they were hungry, hungry for healing, hungry for breakthrough, hungry for the touch of God. You could feel it in the way they approached: open hands, open hearts, open expectations. And alongside the people were pastors coming forward as well. Many were not asking for a platform or a title. They were asking for a fresh touch on their ministries as they prepare to equip the next generation. That’s what made it so moving. It wasn’t just individual need. It was leaders carrying communities and saying, “Lord, breathe on this again. Strengthen what You started. Help us raise those coming behind us.” It was one of those scenes that recalibrates you. It reminded us that the gospel is not theory in Peru. It’s oxygen. Training in the missional model: Spiritual Community and Evangelism A key purpose of this trip was to offer pastors practical training and equipping in the missional model , with much of our teaching focusing on Quadrant Two and Quadrant Four , especially Spiritual Community and Evangelism . Dr. Lee brought a strong and timely challenge: reach outward again . Don’t just build church services. Build believers. Train the people of God to carry the mission of God into the communities around them. One of the most actionable takeaways was this: train your people to become evangelists by identifying three prospects and intentionally developing them. It’s simple, but it’s not shallow. It’s reproducible. It turns evangelism from a vague intention into a discipleship pathway. And in a room full of pastors who are trying to lead faithfully in complex contexts, you could sense the lights turning on: “We can do this. We can train this. We can multiply this.” Partnerships that open doors: Lima, Catedral de Fe, and Operation Hope This trip also confirmed and strengthened relationships that are opening doors for the next season of ministry in Peru. We are now partnered with Pastor Charlie Ramos from Catedral de Fe in Lima , who is leading Operation Hope . This partnership represents a meaningful bridge for ongoing training, ministry collaboration, and strategic impact that can extend beyond a single trip. We believe these relationships are not accidental. They are providential. God is stitching together leaders, churches, and networks so that the missional model can be placed into the hands of pastors who will run with it and replicate it. What’s next: November 2026 As a result of this trip, we now have multiple avenues open for future training and ministry opportunities across Peru, and we are already looking ahead. Our next missions trip is planned for November 2026 , and we want you to begin preparing now. If Peru is stirring your heart, if you’ve been asking the Lord for a step of obedience that stretches your faith and expands your world, this may be part of your “yes.” This is not a sightseeing trip. This is a kingdom assignment. We will be serving pastors, strengthening churches, supporting what God is doing through networks like the Movimiento Evangelístico Misionero, and partnering alongside leaders like Pastor Charlie Ramos through Operation Hope. Call to action: Get ready to sign up In the coming months, we will be opening sign-ups for the November 2026 Peru Missions Trip . Start praying now. Start making room now. Start listening now. Pray with us for: Continued momentum and protection for the pastors and leaders in Peru Wisdom and clarity as we build the next phase of training Healing, salvation, and breakthrough to continue spreading through communities Provision and preparation for the November 2026 team Peru reminded us of something simple and powerful: when hunger meets the presence of God, everything changes. And we believe this is only the beginning.
